Joe Thomas

Joseph G. Thomas, Chief Executive Officer of M/A-COM Tech, joined the company in 1975.  During his tenure, he has held a number of positions—Design Engineer, Engineering Manager, and Product Marketing Manager—before moving into various senior management positions, including President and now CEO. Throughout his career, Mr. Thomas has led growth teams addressing multiple markets ranging from consumer entertainment to strategic defense applications. His product knowledge encompasses a wide range of expertise from RF interconnects, semiconductors, and components, to subsystems and system-level solutions. Prior to joining M/A-COM Tech, Mr. Thomas was a Design Engineer with Micro Dynamics in Woburn, Massachusetts. Mr. Thomas holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering received from the University of Massachusetts.  


ChuckBland

Chuck Bland, Chief Operating Officer, joined the company in June 2010. He has had significant experience in the industry, having held multiple executive positions--including Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer, President and CEO. He has worked at technology-based companies, such as Owens Corning, Quark Software, Vari-L, and Sirenza Microdevices. Chuck has held executive level responsibilities for businesses in start ups as well as larger corporations. Chuck holds an undergraduate degree from Ohio State University and an MBA from the Sloan School at Massachusetts Institute of Technology.


Conrad Gagnon

Conrad Gagnon, Chief Financial Officer of M/A-COM Tech, has been with M/A-COM Tech for more than 25 years and has served in a number of management and leadership roles in finance, sales and marketing, mergers and acquisitions, new ventures and portfolio management. Prior to his appointment to CFO, Mr. Gagnon was Vice President of Finance for the company’s aerospace and defense and commercial businesses. Prior to joining M/A-COM Tech, Mr. Gagnon was Cost and Budget Manager at Ingersoll-Rand, and Staff Auditor with Price Waterhouse. Mr. Gagnon holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Computer Sciences, Magna Cum Laude, from Boston College. He is also a Certified Public Accountant.


Robert Donahue

Robert Donahue, Chief Strategy Officer of M/A-COM Tech, rejoined M/A-COM Tech in 2009. Prior to this appointment, Mr. Donahue was Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Business Development and Chief Strategy Officer at WIN Semiconductor. While there, Mr. Donahue developed the strategic plan and drove business segments of the company from a very early stage start-up to a dominant GaAs Foundry with rapid, profitable growth. Prior to WIN, he was Director of Marketing at Hittite Microwave. Mr. Donahue’s career also includes approximately nine years with M/A-COM Tech’s IC business where he served in various engineering and product line management roles and 10 years at Raytheon in various engineering leadership positions. Mr. Donahue holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts. He also holds an MBA from the Sloan School of Management at the Massachusetts Institite of Technology.


Michael Murphy

Michael Murphy, Vice President of Engineering, rejoined M/A-COM Tech in 2009. Previously, he served as Vice President of Engineering of TriQuint Semiconductor’s Networks and Standard Products Business Unit. Mr. Murphy also led TriQuint’s New England Design Center, which he initially launched for Infineon Technologies in 1999 prior to TriQuint’s purchase of its GaAs IC Business Unit in 2002. His early career included a 13-year tour with M/A-COM Tech where in the late 1990s as Product Line Manager he led an embryonic business and technical team in the development of RFICs for handset and WLAN applications that grew to more than $45 million in revenue in just a few years. Mr. Murphy holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts. He also holds an MBA from Boston University.


Kin Tan

Kin L. Tan, Vice President of Operations, joined M/A-COM Tech in 2009. Prior to M/A-COM Tech, he worked at RFMD as Director, New Product Development, where he was responsible for defining and developing the product development process in the Multi-Market Group, as well as managing the transition to manufacturing of over 250 new products. Before the RFMD acquisition of Sirenza Microdevices in 2007, Mr. Tan was Vice President of Manufacturing Operations and held prior positions in product line management, quality, product development and technology development over a 10-year period. Before joining Sirenza, he held various program management, marketing, product development and technology development positions at TRW Space & Defense, Hughes Aircraft Torrance Research Center and Honeywell Physical Sciences Center. Mr. Tan holds Bachelor and Master of Science Degrees in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University.


Suja Ramnath

Suja Ramnath, Vice President and General Manager of RF Semiconductors, joined M/A-COM Tech in 1998 as a Product Manager focused on CDMA handset solutions. She then moved onto various business development and senior P&L positions within the company. In these various roles, she has led growth teams addressing multiple markets ranging from consumer entertainment to strategic defense applications. Prior to joining M/A-COM Tech, Ms. Ramnath was a Key Account Manager with RF Micro Devices, Greensboro NC. As one of the first 100 employees of the company, she helped drive top line initiatives and launched the company’s first SiGe chipset for ISM applications. Ms. Ramnath holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Northeastern University.  She was named one of the 10 Women to watch in Technology by the Massachusetts High Tech association in 2004.


Robert Dennehy

Robert Dennehy, Managing Director of our Infrastructure Group Cork, Ireland, began his career with the company as a test engineer in 1993. He later moved on to operational management positions, ultimately transitioning to a manufacturing management role, and then product management.  In 2002, he was promoted into a product management role, with responsibility for the entire operation in 2006. Throughout his career, he led operations and development teams addressing multiple product lines, ranging everything from circulators and isolators, switches, VCOs, synthesizers, various signal processing components and passives modules. Mr. Dennehy holds an Associate's Degree in Electronic Engineering and a Diploma in Business Administration from Henley Business School, London.


Dave Williams

David Williams, Director of Automotive Sensors and Telematics, joined M/A-COM Tech in 1988. He was a program manager for three years and later moved into various product and marketing management roles for Cable Television (CATV), Telecommunications, and Automotive. Prior to joining the company, Mr. Williams held engineering, sales and marketing positions at Loral and Varian Associates. Mr. Williams holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from University of Massachusetts.


Rollin Ball

Rollin Ball, Director of Laser Diode Inc., joined M/A-COM Tech in 1975. Throughout his career with the company, his responsibilities increased on a regular basis, gaining him experience in production manufacturing, product line supervision, product control engineering, quality, and division management in the group’s Crystal Growth Operation.  In June of 2001, he was named into his current role. Mr. Ball’s formal education includes three years of Electrical Engineering study at the Cleveland Institute of Electronics.


Gary Lopes

Gary Lopes, Director of our RF Semiconductors Torrance Operation, joined the company in 1982 as an Engineering Manager focusing on product design for communications and infrastructure. In 1992, he was promoted to Engineering Director, and in 2001 Mr. Lopes was promoted to Managing Director. Mr. Lopes’ career includes tenure at TRW as a Design Engineer as well as Digital Microwave (now Aviat Networks) and Ericsson Microelectronics AB in senior management positions. Mr. Lopes holds an Associate's Degree in Electronics and holds three patents related to RF power semiconductor design and application.


Kathy daSilva

Kathleen daSilva, Treasurer of M/A-COM Tech, joined the company in 1974. For the first 30 years of her career, she served in a wide variety of financial roles for different parts of the organization. She ultimately received a promotion to Director of Finance and Controller, a position she held from October 1999 through July 2004.  Prior to joining M/A-COM Tech, Ms. daSilva worked in accounting and quality control functions with Computervision, and with Jo-Ann fabrics. Ms. daSilva holds a Bachelor's Degree in Education and a Masters Degree in Business Administration, both from the University of Massachusetts.


Jeff Chartier

Jeff Chartier, Director of Human Resources, joined M/A-COM Tech in 1998 and has served in a number of senior human resource management leadership roles in both the generalist capacity as well as specialist in compensation, benefits, recruitment, organizational design and employee relations. Prior to joining M/A-COM Tech, Mr. Chartier served in various human resource leadership roles at Tyco Electronics, Arthur D. Little, Inc., and Computervision Corporation. Mr. Chartier holds a Juris Doctorate from New England School of Law, a Bachelor of Science degree from Springfield College, and is a graduate of the Human Resource Leadership Development Program at the Center for Creative Leadership. 


Phil Stathas

Phil Stathas, Director of Information Technology, rejoined M/A-COM Tech in 2009. Prior to this appointment, Mr. Stathas held senior leadership positions in IT at Thermo Fisher Scientific, CMGI/Modus Link Corporation and Thermo Electron. While there, Mr. Stathas' intricate knowledge of current and state-of-the art technologies made a significant impact on their businesses. Mr. Stathas’ career also includes more than twenty-five years of experience in the Semiconductor, Components and high volume manufacturing industry. Mr. Stathas holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Boston College and a Masters Degree in Computer Science from Boston University.


Bob Fucile

Robert Fucile, Director of Contracts, joined M/A-COM Tech in 1982. Mr. Fucile has provided a wide range of contracts support, problem solving and general business strategy for consumer and strategic defense applications, both in the domestic and international arenas. He has also been a strong contributor to the company’s efforts in mergers and acquisitions. Prior to M/A-COM Tech, Mr. Fucile was a Contracts Manager with Raytheon Missile Systems Division.  Before joining the private sector, Mr. Fucile served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam era as a Procurement Contract Officer and was honorably discharged with the rank of Captain in 1970. Mr. Fucile holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Boston College. 


Robert Phillips

Robert Phillips, Facility Security Officer and Business Support Manager, has been with the company for nearly 21 years. He has served in a number of leadership roles in human resources, government compliance, quality management systems and documentation control.  Prior to joining M/A-COM Tech, Mr. Phillips was a Human Resources Manager with Wang Laboratories, Computervision and Whistler Corporation. Mr. Phillips holds a Bachelor's Degree with High Distinction in Business Management and an MBA from the University of Massachusetts. He is a Vietnam Veteran and received the Bronze Star and two Army Commendation Medals.
